What does makes for a great home healthcare experience? When health concerns start to encroach on your active lifestyle, we step in to help you . . .
- follow the doctor’s instructions (our RN’s can help with medication, IV’s, wound care, physical therapy, and more).
- take care of home and personal tasks that may have become difficult.
- make and keep appointments with friends and doctors.
- keep your life as close to normal as possible.
- Need an English or Spanish speaking caregiver? We can do that!
Our Home Healthcare Services
Evaluation and Care Plans
Once you decide that you would like VIP Home Healthcare Services of Cuenca to provide care to you or a loved one, the first step in getting your care started will be a meeting with our Clinical Director. She will want work with you to learn what doctors your are seeing, what instructions they have given you, what medications you are on, and what your current situation is. She will then work with you to create a custom care plan that meets your needs. This care plan will become the basis for selecting a caregiver with the training and skills to meet your particular needs, and will determine the schedule and the tasks that they will be performing.
Recovery and Post-operative Care
Whether recovering from an illness, or recovering from an operation, we can follow your doctor’s instructions and help keep things going until you are fully recovered. Everything from changing dressings to physical therapy, from personal care to light housekeeping–we will do what it takes to get you back on your feet again.
Long-term Care
Some of our clients need care everyday. When our clients need on-going care, the care-plans can cover such things as IV’s, feeding, bathing, and medication. Assistance with daily living such as cooking, shopping, facilitating, and companionship can also be important aspects of the care. Whether the client needs 24-hour attention, or only 8 hours each day, we provide competent, compassionate care each and every visit.
Dementia Care
Unfortunately, Cuenca has not escaped the scourge of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. We have a special soft spot in our hearts for our VIP memory care clients. These care plans include a lot of basic living assistance along with medical treatment, conversation, and companionship. While challenging, we believe that dementia does not have to take the joy out of our clients’ lives, and we laugh with, play with, and love each one–they’re an important part of our VIP family!
